direction of the Coalition, authored the Harnessing The Science - Advancing
Care: A Proposal to Improve the Publicly-Funded Cancer Clinical Research
System. This white paper outlines an ambitious agenda to restructure and
improve the clinical trial process in our country. The Group Chairs are
committed to invigorating the current clinical trial system, making it more
attractive to researches and more vital as a force for helping to advance the
standards of care in cancer. During these deliberations the Group Chairs have
developed recommendations that they believe will animate the system and give it
